Darwin radio ratings released

Radio ratings for Darwin, Australia’s most northern city and capital of the Northern Territory will be released today.  Local stations HOT 100 FM and Mix 104.9, part of the 100% family owned Grant Broadcasters radio network, will be part of the first survey to be released in more than 10 years.

HOT FM also has translator services covering the regional townships of Katherine, whilst Mix 104.9 FM has additional translator services in Katherine, Adelaide River and Pine Creek and HOT FM is the innovative and younger focused station, while Mix 1049 is the “top ends feel good” station.

Grant Cameron, CEO of Grant Broadcasters Media Group said: “The introduction of the new survey system for regional areas has enabled us to undertake this research. We have now completed surveys in 5 markets and they have provided valuable information on the importance of regional radio listening.”

Commercial Radio Australia introduced a new system for regional radio ratings from 2014, which allows smaller radio markets to undertake more regular, reliable and cost effective audience measurement.

The survey was conducted by Xtra Research and the results are available on the Radio It’s A Love Thing website.
