Radio survey for Mildura to be released

Commercial radio stations in Mildura, in Victoria’s north west, will find out who’s listening to the radio when the results of the region’s first radio survey in years is released today, as part of a national regional research program.
Commercial stations Star FM Mildura, Sun FM and River 1467 serve the region, which is known for grape production and citrus farming.
Joan Warner, chief executive officer of industry body Commercial Radio Australia, said Mildura was one of 25 radio surveys to be undertaken across regional Australia this year to reinvigorate regional radio.
“Radio is an important source of local news and entertainment for regional communities like Mildura, so we are keen to gather some up to date data about how many people are listening to radio and when,” she said.
The survey results for Mildura will be available from 10am AEST on the Radio It’s A Love Thing website.
Regional surveys have been released since 2014 for the following areas: Albany, Albury, Bundaberg, Cairns, Central Queensland, Coffs Harbour, Colac, Darwin, Dubbo, Gosford, Griffith, Hamilton, Hobart, Horsham, Kalgoorlie, Kempsey (Port Macquarie), Mackay, Maryborough, Mt Gambier, Orange, Sale, Shepparton, Sunshine Coast, Swan Hill, Toowoomba, Townsville, Wagga Wagga, Warrnambool, Warragul and Wollongong.
