Wollongong & Bunbury radio surveys released

Wollongong and Bunbury regional radio surveys will be released today.  Commercial stations in Wollongong; Wave FM and I98 FM were early adopters of the cost effective audience measurement system for radio broadcasters outside of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Gold Coast, Canberra and Newcastle markets, when it was introduced in 2014.  The most recent Wollongong survey was in November 2015.

For Bunbury, the largest population centre outside of Perth in Western Australia; it is the first radio survey for stations HOT FM, and Radiowest Bunbury.   The Bunbury community has experienced enormous growth in recent years and the survey will provide the opportunity to illustrate the important role the stations play in the local community.

“Nationally and locally the response to the research in regional areas has been positive.  Local radio stations in Bunbury and Wollongong are part of the community and the research enables the stations to illustrate their competitiveness in the market,” said Joan Warner, chief executive officer Commercial Radio Australia.

Regional surveys have been released since 2014 for the following areas: Albany, Albury, Bundaberg, Cairns, Central Queensland, Coffs Harbour, Colac, Darwin, Dubbo, Geelong, Gosford, Griffith, Hamilton, Hobart, Horsham, Kalgoorlie, Kempsey (Port Macquarie), Mackay, Maryborough, Mildura, Mt Gambier, Orange, Sale, Shepparton, Sunshine Coast, Swan Hill, Toowoomba, Townsville, Wagga Wagga, Warrnambool, Warragul and Wollongong.

Survey results for Bendigo and Townsville will be released before the end of the year.

The Wollongong and Bunbury regional survey results will be available from 10.00 am on the Radio It’s A Love Thing website.
