Radio ratings released for Mandurah

Radio ratings will be released today for Mandurah, the second-largest city in Western Australia.
97.3 Coast FM and 1116 6MM are the commercial radio stations serving the community, which is situated midway between Perth and Bunbury and is one of WA’s fastest-growing regional cities.
6MM was launched by West Coast Radio in 1988, with the second station, Coast FM, going to air in 1996.
“Mandurah is a great example of how radio brings regional communities together, with the local mayor, volunteer support centre, newspaper editor and cinema operator all having regular radio spots to talk about what’s happening in the city,” said Joan Warner, chief executive officer of industry body Commercial Radio Australia.
The results of the Mandurah radio survey will be available from 10am AEDT on the Radio It’s A Love Thing website.
The survey was conducted from 13 February to 4 March by Xtra Insights, the industry’s official provider of regional radio research.
Mandurah is one of more than 30 regional areas to be surveyed during 2017, as the industry focuses on measuring radio audiences across the country.
The survey follows the release of results for WA’s Wheatbelt region last week. Radio ratings for Esperance are scheduled for release next week.
