First radio survey for Roma released

The first ever radio ratings for Roma in south-east Queensland will be released today as part of the industry’s regional radio surveys program.
HIT95.1 Maranoa (95.1) and 4ZR AM (1476 AM) are the commercial stations available in the community.
The town is famous for Australia’s first oil and gas discoveries and is also home to Australia’s largest cattle sales, making it the pivotal business centre for the Western Downs.
Joan Warner, chief executive officer of industry body Commercial Radio Australia said: “More than 40 regional radio surveys throughout Australia have been conducted to boost the competitiveness of regional radio and provide valuable information on regional radio listening.”
The survey was conducted by Xtra Insights between 3-22 April and results will be available at 10am AEST on the Radio It’s A Love Thing website.
Radio surveys have recently been released this year for Dubbo, Mandurah, Wheatbelt, Esperance, Kingaroy and Mount Isa.
Ratings results will also be released for eight other regional markets in the June quarter.  They are: Emerald/Central Highlands, Mackay and Cairns in Queensland; Ballarat in Victoria; Launceston in Tasmania and Port Macquarie/Kempsey, Albury and Coffs Harbour in New South Wales.
Data from all the regional surveys is available to media agencies online through the Frequency Regional Radio ratings analyser tool.
