Port Macquarie survey release

Port Macquarie’s most listened-to radio station will be revealed tomorrow (Tuesday, 30 May) when radio ratings are released as part of an industry initiative to measure radio audiences across regional Australia.
Radio stations Hit Mid North Coast, Triple M Mid North Coast and Radio 531/FM 93.5 will be part of the survey.  This is the second survey for Port Macquarie since the introduction of the new regional methodology in 2014.  The last survey for Port Macquarie was released on 3 May 2016.
The Port Macquarie survey, conducted by Xtra Research, was in field between 2 – 20 May 2017.
The radio industry introduced a new system for regional radio ratings in 2014 which allows smaller radio markets to undertake more regular, reliable and cost effective audience measurement.
“Port Macquarie stations have seen the benefit of the survey data and will be able to benchmark this survey against last year,” said Joan Warner, chief executive officer of industry body Commercial Radio Australia.
Commercial Radio Australia has released radio surveys for Ballarat, Launceston, Emerald, Dubbo, Mandurah, Wheatbelt, Esperance, Kingaroy, Mount Isa and Roma this year.
Upcoming surveys to be released are: Mackay, Cairns and Bundaberg in Queensland; Albury and Coffs Harbour in New South Wales.
Data from all the regional surveys is available to media agencies online through the Frequency Regional Radio ratings analyser tool.
The survey results for Port Macquarie will be available Tuesday, 30 May from 10am AEST on the Radio It’s A Love Thing website.
