Albury radio survey released

Albury’s radio personalities will find out where their stations rank in attracting listeners, with the release today of official industry radio ratings.

Radio stations, Hit 104.9 The Border (104.9), Triple M 105.7 The Border (105.7) and 1494 2AY (1494am) are the commercial radio stations participating in the latest survey.

The last survey for Albury was released in June 2014.  The radio industry introduced a new system for regional radio ratings in 2014 which allowed smaller radio markets to undertake more regular, reliable and cost-effective audience measurement.

The latest Albury radio research was conducted by Xtra Insights from 15 May – 3 June with a sample size of 800 participants.

“Albury is a growing, vibrant area and the local radio stations are an important part of the community.  National and local advertisers will be interested today’s survey results,” said Joan Warner, chief executive officer of industry body Commercial Radio Australia.

Commercial radio stations in Albury serve a population of more than 123,012 people aged 10+.

The survey results will be released at 10am AEST and published on the Radio It’s A Love Thing website.

Albury is the fourteenth regional survey to be released in 2017 following Cairns, Mackay, Port Macquarie/Kempsey, Ballarat, Launceston, Emerald, Dubbo, Mandurah, Wheatbelt, Esperance, Kingaroy, Mount Isa and Roma.

The next regional radio surveys will be in Coffs Harbour and Bundaberg.

Data from all the regional surveys is available to media agencies online through the Frequency Regional Radio ratings analyser tool.
