Albany radio survey results

Radio ratings will be released today for the Western Australian city of Albany and includes the commercial radio stations; Hit Albany and Triple M Albany both of which were rebranded late last year.
The last survey for Albany was in May 2016 and the latest research will show how listening patterns have changed over 12 months.
The survey was conducted by Xtra Insights from 12 June – 1 July with a sample size of 600 participants.
Industry body Commercial Radio Australia introduced a new system for regional radio ratings which allowed smaller radio markets to undertake more regular, reliable and cost-effective audience measurement.
Joan Warner, chief executive officer of industry body Commercial Radio Australia said: “The Albany survey is the 54th regional survey since the introduction of the methodology.  The data is allowing regional radio stations to show the success of live and local radio.”
The survey results will be released at 10am AEST and published on the Radio It’s A Love Thing website.
Albany is the 17th regional survey to be released in 2017 following Bundaberg, Albury, Cairns, Coffs Harbour, Mackay, Port Macquarie/Kempsey, Ballarat, Launceston, Emerald, Dubbo, Mandurah, Wheatbelt, Esperance, Kingaroy, Mount Isa and Roma.
The next regional radio survey will be Kalgoorlie (WA), followed by Maryborough (Qld).
Data from all the regional surveys is available to media agencies online through the Frequency Regional Radio ratings analyser tool.
