Mildura radio ratings released

Mildura’s commercial radio stations hit99.5 Sunraysia, Triple M Sunraysia and River 1467 will find out the results of the latest official radio surveys when results are released today.

Joan Warner, chief executive officer of industry body Commercial Radio Australia, said commercial radio began broadcasting in Mildura in May 1933, when 3MA (now River 1467) went to air.

“Commercial radio has a long history in Mildura and it’s stayed relevant to today’s listeners over the years by constantly adapting and staying in touch with the needs of the local community,” she said.

The latest survey will reveal the station most listened to in Mildura and changes in listening trends since the last survey in 2016. The research was conducted by Xtra Insights among 800 participants from 8-27 October.

Mildura is the 78th regional survey to be released since Commercial Radio Australia introduced a new system for regional radio ratings which allowed smaller radio markets to undertake more regular, reliable and cost-effective audience measurement.

The stations in Mildura serve a population of more than 59,000 people aged 10 and over.

Survey results will be available from 11am AEST on the Radio Alive website.

The next regional radio survey to be released will be Wollongong in NSW.

Data from all the regional surveys is available to media agencies online through the Frequency Regional Radio ratings analyser tool.
