Fair Work legislation changes ( Closing Loopholes) recent changes, as at July 2024

Below is a summary of the recent legisation changes affecting employers in the Commercial Radio industry.

  • Wage theft - 1 January 2025
  • Right to disconnect - 26 August 2024
  • Casual employment (changes to casual employment definition) - 26 August 2024
  • Family and domestic violence - employee protections - 15 December 2023 
  • Limitations of the use of fixed term employment - 6 December 2023
  • Prohibition of sexual harassment  and positive duty of care  obligations - 6 March 2023
  • Prohibitions on pay secrecy clauses  - 7 March 2022
