Dining Habits

The Dining Habits FCT survey explored peoples habits and preferences around eating, both dining out and dining at home. The survey which was conducted between 26 September and 19 October 2017, drew responses of over 2,750 regional radio listeners nationally.

  • 90% of respondents are eating out at least once a month, and over half at least once a week
  • 30% are eating out more frequently than they have in the last couple of months
  • Radio presenter endorsements are meaningful: almost half of respondents report being more interested in a restaurant when hearing about it from their favourite radio personalities
  • Three in four respondents eat at least one meal at home everyday
  • 37% of respondents are unsure of what they're doing for dinner that night.
