Finding Consumer Trends


The Travel FCT survey explored peoples preferences and intentions around travel, both domestic and international. The survey, conducted between 22 May and 12 June 2017, attracted the responses of over 2,300 regional radio listeners nationally.

National key insights:

  • 45% of respondents feel more positive about travel products or services when hearing about it from their favourite radio personalities
  • Nine in ten respondents are interested in taking a cruise
  • One in three travel intenders are influenced by radio advertising
  • 91% of respondents are planning to buy travel insurance for leisure travel
  • 34% plan to spend more on travel during 2017 than they have previously.
